How do I contact the Chamber of Commerce for additional information on the area?

How close is the nearest golf course?
The Lodge is located on the south 18 holes of the Whitefish Lake Golf Course. The north 18 hole course is a short walk across the street. The next closest course is about a 15-20 minute drive.
How many golf courses are in the area?
There are 9 local golf courses all within an hour of us. See our recreation page for full details.
We are less adventuresome. What can we do there?
Relaxing activities might include a guided tour through Glacier National Park on the famous Red Buses, a scenic cruise on Whitefish Lake, a treatment in our day spa, a casual round of golf, or just sitting in our sunlit lobby reading a good book.
What kinds of restaurants are there in Whitefish?
Whitefish restaurants offer Italian, Mexican, Oriental, and American cuisines as well as gourmet steak houses, a sushi and oyster bar, and specialty pizza houses.
What kind of “Night Life” does Whitefish offer?
Whitefish offers a variety of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. There usually is live music either here at the Lodge or in town almost every night of the year.
What kind of family activities do you offer?
Let us be your Adventure Concierge. We are well connected to local and regional attraction and activity providers. Depending on the season, our Concierge can book numerous activities for you to enjoy while visiting the area, some of these include: Whitewater Rafting, Horseback Riding, Fly-Fishing, Golfing, Sleigh Rides and Cross-Country Skiing.

Does Logan’s Bar and Grill offer room service?
The Grill provides room service during limited hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Availability may vary seasonally.
Does the Lodge have a restaurant and does it have a dress code?
The dress code is casual. The Grill provides a comfortable atmosphere in a Montana Lodge setting. The Deck and Patio gives you a chance to dine outdoors with a view of the mountains and golf course.
How big is the lodge? Will we be in a separate building or in the main lodge?
We are a full-service 145-guest room resort, with all amenities located inside the central lodge. The only exception is the fitness facility, which is located just off the main lodge area.
Where is the nearest car rental? Do we need one?
Whether or not you need a car depends on what area activities wish to participate. Please contact our Reservation Specialists at 406.892.2525 or 877.862.1505 to book your rental car. We suggest you reserve a car prior to arrival.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we have a pet policy at Grouse Mountain Lodge. Ask our Reservation specialists about bringing your furry friend along on your trip to Grouse Mountain Lodge.  Read our Pet Policy.
Do you have a pool?
We have an indoor heated pool, 2 outdoor hot tubs, a dry sauna and a fitness facility.
Do you offer shuttle service to the Airport, Amtrak Station and the Ski Resort?
We offer shuttle service to and from selected downtown Whitefish locations, the Amtrak Station and the airport. We also offer shuttle service to/from Whitefish Mountain Resort during ski season.

How far is the Lodge from the airport?
We are located about 12 miles from the airport or about 15 min. by car.
What is the nearest airport, and what airlines service that airport?

In what part of Montana is the Lodge located?
We are in northwestern corner Montana, in the north end of the beautiful Flathead Valley, and about an hour south of the Canadian border.
How far is the Lodge from the Ski Resort?
Whitefish Mountain Resort is located approximately 8 miles from the Lodge.
How far is the Lodge from Glacier National Park?
It is a 30-minute drive to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park and the Going to the Sun Road.
How far is the Lodge from Yellowstone National Park?
Yellowstone is a pleasant 8 hour drive from the Lodge with beautiful scenery along every mile.
How far is the Lodge from Calgary or Fernie?
Canada is our northern neighbor, with Calgary about 5 hours away and Fernie about 1 hour. Please keep in mind you must have a passport when crossing the border .
How long is the drive from Spokane to Whitefish?
The drive to Spokane generally takes about 4 hours going through St. Regis. Traveling through Missoula takes about 5 hours.

When does your shoulder-season start?

Do you honor AAA or AARP?
Depending on availability, we offer either a 10% discounted AAA rate OR a 10% AARP rate. Please keep in mind these discounts may or may not be available and cannot be combined with other offers.
What kind of packages do you offer?
We can customize any package to fit your needs. We can customize packages to include airfare, Amtrak, activities, golfing, skiing, and much more. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made within 3 days (72 hours) prior to arrival will result in a full forfeit of the deposit. Deposits are fully refundable for 30 days following the date the room reservation was made. From 31 days after the reservation was made to 3 days prior to arrival, there will be a $15 administrative fee per room ($20 for a reservation with activities/ tours) to cancel. For reservations made within 30 days prior to arrival, the above policy applies with no 30-day grace period.
